I had the idea after listening to a guide around Prideuax Place in Cornwall- an artist has sealed a love-letter inside a painting, wehich wasn't found for nearly 200 years. I just brought the idea into the 21 century with the train metaphor, and added some unsubtle Italian soundbites. I was going to call it "Should have posted the thing you pilluck" but opted for The Portrait.
