Nathaniel's musical journey started when he was ten years of age when he sang into cassette recorders, playing them back and amusing his parents. It was fourteen when he decided to pick up another instrument after giving up the piano when he was younger. Starting on the bass guitar, Nathaniel picked up the acoustic and electric guitars, improving steadily and as the years went by and using his instrument/vocal and songwriting talents at his local church (www.jurongsda.org) for God as a worship leader for regular services and youth services. Now at the age of 23, Nathaniel is a final year Theology student at Mission College (www.missioncollege.edu) where he regularly leads out in worship.

Story behind the song
This song was born out of my personal experience of trying to find God by doing all I could, but all my searching was in vain because I didn't run back to the Bible to find him! Trying to "be good" without real goodness within me was literally living a lie as I searched for God under the watchful eyes of people who expected me to be a role model just because I was the son of the head elder. The stress almost drove me away from God, but everything turned out right when I finally gave in to God. When he took me in, I found life. Check out my upcoming EP that will be on sale for $10.00 before S&H. Available from December 09 'Glory of the Cross EP'

Excellent tune Nate! I enjoyed the progressive rock influence, but the message was heartfelt and your vocals were very good. Blessings Ron
