Hey there! I'm Jevgenij Kapustin, known as "Kustin" by the internet. Having spent a long time on my musical interests, I've been aspired to make songs for people to enjoy. My music would likely be hard to categorize, as I lean on different styles but they do have progressive, rock and metal elements. For now I'm trying to build up on ideas I've made in time and hope to find my own niche in it all. All I know is that I like writing music emphasized on sensations evoked by complex rhythms, catchy melodies, lush atmosphere and progressive songwriting. Enjoy!

Story behind the song
When I started this project, I wanted to make a song fronted by a drum instrument while being backed by some synths or something (a la Mike Terrana). But after a while, it was on hold and I didn't reach further than a half minute with my basic ideas. After that, I've started to listen to some avant-garde bands, Fantômas ie, and found my new taste in the beauty and the fun of spontaneous compositions within this genre. So I returned to this project after a couple of weeks and used a wider selection of instruments. It was my first avant-garde project, so I wanted to tell a basic story through the sounds of the synths, the unusual noises and drums (now it's more of a backing instrument, but a decent one). After a while, I found a small inspiration of adding some dark ambient layers as a climax for the sonic madness. This section was to be grown into a trippy adventure through various sound clips, more synth layers and playful pan effects. In the end, I feel proud of finishing something that I sometimes dream of doing. I found some new knowledges for mastering the track for its own convenience and will surely come in handy.
