Story behind the song

This song is about an experience I had with a hitch hiker in California.  I was stuggling with the reason why people don't pick up hitch hikers.  "Would Jesus pick up a hitch hiker?"  If God is leading me to someone who needs help, why should I be afraid to pick him up?  Anyway this is song that resulted from my struggle and my obedience.
