Lyrics
Sing a New Song to You ©2009 Christopher M Solaas Chorus: I want to sing a new song to You For all the things that You are and the things You do It was what You created Your children to do I want to sing a new song to You! Like a skunk, I was lonely, without a friend Till You knocked on my door, and I let You in And You wiped all my tears and made me brand new, So I could sing a new song to You! Chorus: I was scared of my shadow, a timid deer Locked in my closet, till You appeared And You rescued me, loved me, and told me the Truth So I could sing a new song to You! Chorus: I was hurt, I was angry, a grumpy bear Hard as a rock, too afraid to care Till you softened my heart, helped me trust in You So I could sing a new song to You! Chorus: I was sneaky and slimy, like an evil snake Covered in sin, but a GREAT BIG FAKE Till You washed me and lifted me out of the goo So I could sing a new song to You! Chorus: And I think of the day when the trumpets shall ring And Ia€™ll look in the sky and Ia€™ll see the King! Who will take me to heaven to be with You, So I can sing a new song to You! Chorus(2x) Isaiah 42:10
