Story behind the song
Pieces of the lyrics came from a previous (older song). The idea to resurrect them came from a bunch of selfish people. The song is about how one person struggles between being a selfish bastard (like he see's everyone else) and his true self. Basically calling into question some peoples behavior and how they blindly treat others poorly. Like a lot of concept songs - its over the top on purpose. The voices in the beginning were inspired by a TV show. The other band-mates were afraid we would violate copyright - so we re-phrased and re-recorded them. They actually sound better than the original samples.
