I was really inspired by Idina Menzel's "My Own Worst Enemy" after watching her perform it life one night on tv. My mind just starting thinking, "how can I sample this and what kind of story would I tell?" I felt digging deep and keeping the emotional theme of the album raw was best, so this song is actually about a young couple dealing with their own demons.
