Story behind the song
Improvisational piece. Method: Scan an old 'best loved' poetry book for promising words, work out a few chords, begin reading/playing. Several levels of improvisation- music structure, musical performance, reading/singing, rearranging the words into something new if necessary (while playing/recording)(not needed for this piece). Initial piano/voice improvisation created/recorded in 1987; other instruments added in 2000 with midi keyboard/software studio program.
