I likie to do puzzles with my family. It occured to me under a haze of clarity that my life was like putting the pieces of a puzzle together.

PIECES OF THE PUZZLE
Putting up the pieces of the puzzle that is me
Matching colors, textures, lines, impressions that I see,
Organizing scattered parts into coherent wholes
And searching for the piece that is my soul.
1)The corners are the easy part: two sides converge at ninety.
They start the frame, then the sides came
and boxed in what I can’t see.
Filling up the middle is a never-ending guess.
Many failures make success and each a different quest.

2) Try until you get it right and as each piece fits in
It’s easier to fit the rest and finish what you begin.
And once the puzzle’s done and all the parts are in
You briefly look at what it is and then begin again.
