Story behind the song
She recently wrote the single for the album “Love Song to New Orleans” and teamed up once again with Jimmy Rip for the 2nd cut “Playing Hookey”, on the cd which she produced. It was featured on ABC & Channel 9 news and has special guest artists such as the Juno winner “Kenny Blues Boss Wayne” gracing it. Diana produced the single “A Christmas to Remember” for former Temptation Ali Woodson and jazz legend Jeff Lorber for an album she produced “Modern Christmas Classics”. The song was then featured in the Queen Latifah movie “Perfect Holiday” starring Morris Chesnut, Gabrielle Union and of course the Queen herself. Her work with multi-Grammy winner Narada Michael Walden (Mariah, Aretha, Whitney, Wynonna) etc. resulted in a cut with Warner Brother’s artist Judith Lefeber with the album reaching 13 first week out. Diana continues to write and produce with many talented writers. John Capek (hit writer for Rod Stewart) cowrote & produced a song on her debut album “Deer in the Headlights” which was showcased on MTV & in many films. Barry Coffing (no1 writer for How do you Talk to an Angel) cowrote 2 songs which were in the features (29 and Holding & Get Your Stuff). EMI artist Ricky Fante has recently cut 2 songs for his upcoming record. Jimmy Rip has recorded a song for his 2nd release and jazz artist Patrick Rydman is also releasing a song he cowrote with Diana for an upcoming release. Diana won “Female Singer Songwriter of the Year” at the Los Angeles Music Awards and is working on her 2nd album. She is open to queries for artist co-writes and production. Inquire within.

Writer, producer and performer Diana Williamson would live in the studio if she could. Her music has been showcased on ABC, NBC, MTV, Disney, HBO, Warner Brother Films, EMI, Capitol, Platinum Records, House of Blues Records, Neurodisc, Water Dance Records, Blue Flame, Buddah Bar and many others. She’s had a 3 Billboard Hot Club Chart song “Awakening” with EMI artist Sasha Lazard. The song was the single off her record Myth of Red which went 13 on the Billboard Classical charts. She had a 2nd cut on the record “Temptation” which was chosen for Warner Brother’s Film “Queen of the Damned” based on an Anne Rice novel. (starring r&b star Aaliyah & Stuart Townsend). Diana loves to get singles. She cowrote with Jimmy Rip (producer for Jerry Lee Lewis’s best selling album & Mick Jagger sideman) for his debut album “Way Past Blue” on House of Blues Records. The song they cowrote “Cold Comfort” was chosen as the single and was also featured as the first cut on House of Blues compilation “Hot Biscuits”.
