Story behind the song

A song about PARANOIA for paranoid times.  Keep things in perspective!  Stop blaming the universe!  It's your job to make things better.

Really wanted to get the "paralyze, paradise, terrorize" imagery in in response to the highway signs in my state that read: "Report suspicious activity."

Vocal inspiration was "Burning Ring of Fire"-era Johnny Cash, with a little "Pictures of Lily"-era Who thrown in.  All the backing vocals are delivered with a Cash-esque/Elvis comeback drawl.
