I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
This song came on New Year's Eve, and is now just a few days old. But the words take longer. I got the verse right away, but I played around with the bridge for a while. I listened to the start of the verse, and I heard, "Another year". So, I thought of that (and its repeating motive) as a title. I looked in a the Celebration Hymnal book and found really only one song for New Years, an old one called, coincidently, "Another Year Is Dawning". So, I just copied and borrowed lyric ideas. I looked on the cyberhymnal web site for other songs. There were plenty old hymns for New Years Day. Now, there are very few. Thing have changed!
