Story behind the song
This song was originally written, performed and produced in 1995 as a fund-raiser for CanTeen - the Australian organization supporting teens living with cancer. The composers, producers and musicians all gave their time and talents free of charge. A new mix was produced in 2010. Several Gone Troppo members were involved with the production and the new mix. Nearly all income from this song will go to CanTeen. (A little bit will be distributed to the people involved.) The lyrics were written by teen cancer sufferer Emma Leckie. Ray Rains put the melody to the words. Joey Elkins sang the song and did her own backing vocals. Andrew Firth arranged and produced.
