Lyrics
i was sittin in a concrete prision for years eatin canned food just to stay alive it happened 20 years ago, the day the world died bombs dropped everybody just ran for they lives but i think i was the only one to survive i been tunin to radio stations none of em on last time they was on the air half the world was gone from the nuclear blast and radiation contamination, starvation millions dead they said, russia struck first then we got the go ahead to attack them and try to get a little revenge some revenge man, lookin back all these years trapped in here all my life, with nothin but fear i dont know what to do, afraid to look outside afraid to look apocalypse right in the eyes afraid that ima never see the blue sky again its the end into the light i walk with a destiny to rebuild the world with the best in me life as we know it died and im filled with fear i cant even look at the world, without shedding a tear(2x) Its the end August 26th i carved in the shelters side the day our founding fathers truly died day a million lives were the cost of pride i cant live in this prison i gotta get outside so i opened the door, to a new world it was 3 pm, but time didnt exist everything mankind made became this; rubble, chaos, destruction and death i saw my backyard was covered with frozen ash with every 10 feet was a patch of dead grass plants were dying, they hadnt seen the sky in 20 years...the sun was now so far away from here religion was gone, along with mankinds ethics the codes of the ages was reduced to repentance and the weight of the world was on my shoulders i see shadows on the wall of my fallen brothers every single person on this earth died in vain i got outta my prison and all i feel is pain this day will go down in history as the day the world gave birth from its defeat into the light i walk with a destiny to rebuild the world with the best in me life as we know it died and im filled with fear i cant even look at the world, without shedding a tear(2x) Its the end.. i walked down the bombed out cobblestone roads the metaphor shows my life just as i know cuz i think its takin me right towards the unknown im lonely now because im all alone and not a single soul is walking the planet except me, im trapped in realitys hell everywhere i look, all these buildings fell flashbacks haunt my mind, from that horrible day the sound of screams, children crying, as their parents prayed i hear the wind blow as if the souls are calling to put a stop to the baal that has taken our glory across, was a dead meadow covered in brown leaves somthin shocked me, i saw an apple tree like it was just grown right outta healthy land i walked towards it, approachin with sweaty hands i saw a woman kneeling on the ground dressed in rags she was crying all alone, just like me i walked up to her, and she looked at me outta instinct she jumped right into my arms suddenly, the dark clouds opened up the sun hit my face for the first time in years i never felt so happy, just to be here with my companion, and the warmth of god his love beamed down from the skies above and it shined heavenly on the apple tree i said "im adam" she softly said "my names eve"
