Poorbox is a Punk-pop band from Long Island with catchy hooks even your pets will dance around too...

Poorbox is an up and coming four piece band from Long Island, New York that broke from the bloated scene of cover bands with one focus in mind: making good music. While the band’s sound fits somewhere in the genre of ‘pop/punk’, Poorbox can simply be described as memorable lyrics, catchy hooks, and a live show that will always keep you coming back for more. Since its beginning in the summer of 2000, the band has gone through only minor staffing changes, and retained all of its chemistry, performing like a band who’s been together for twice as long. The band consists of Frank (vocals/guitar), Mike (drums), John (bass/vocals), and Mike T. (lead guitar.) Though only recently deciding to devote one hundred percent of their efforts into their original music, Poorbox has already made a dent in the local music scene, supporting both local and nationally touring artists. Back from their self booked tour on the road in support of their first full length cd "Here Comes the Hook": an accomplishment in itself. Want to get a better idea of what Poorbox is about? Have a listen for yourself, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
