Jimmy and the Barbarellos began singing and playing in 1954, and is going strong to this day.
Story behind the song
The band used to play at the Plaza Inn (near Queensboro Plaza in Queens, NY). Our friends would come and see us, all piled in a single car. After, we'd all go to the local White Castle and consume mass quantities of "belly bombers". The song chronicles those times.
