I'm a singer/songwriter who has played in various choirs, bands and solo for over half my life. I'm definitely NOT trying to be a rock star, but I enjoy perform

Story behind the song
My little 3-year old girl would dance for me while I played guitar. I was sitting and just playing random stuff while she twirled and danced in the sunlight in front of me and this song just sort of 'formed'. I wrote it in about 15 minutes...but it wasn't until I recorded it in 2009 that the harmonies and instrumentation came to me.
Lyrics
Little One - what 'cha gonna do when you grow up Little One - this generation passes you the cup Little One - we tried to save a drink or two of life...for you But the world is getting older, each and every day Some corporation sold her, what a heavy price you'll pay Little One - I can see tomorrow shining in your eyes Little One - for you I pray there will still be blue skies Little One - it's up to us to leave the future new...for you But the trash is getting deeper, each and every day The mountain's growing steeper But your love shows us the way Oh, Little One, full of hopes and dreams You're riding high on sunshine and moon beams Gonna fight to keep this world alive It breaks my heart to think you could be denied The same fresh air and the mountain streams Handle with care, if we work as a team Little One - we're gonna do our best to set things right Little One - I want you to sleep well through the night Little One - I make this promise to you: That I will do all I can do To save the same fresh air and the mountain streams I'll handle with care, and now you have sweet dreams
