In My Heart It's Still Winter ~demo version~
Our first ever full demo as a band. Recorded before Kevin joined the band and was used for our first band competition (which we didn't make it into) and our first gig (for a charity event at my friend's church).

Story behind the song
I had initially written this song as a character single for one of my characters in an original-character Artemis Fowl fan fiction piece. His name was Brian Levisque. The song was about his first encounter with the female OC, Mischa, since they met on a snowy day on the dark street.
When I decided to record it as a song with the band (at the time, just me and Vicky), I had to write up a bass tab for Vicky to play. When I gave her the crudely hand-written bass tab, she stares at me with a giant question mark over her head. "'In My Heart, It's Still WATER?'" I nearly cried as I cried, "It's 'WINTER!'" Now, she still bugs me about it, although, she changed it to "ice" once. ("Ice turns into water when it melts!") The bass tab was later altered by Kevin (before he joined the band) since he had actual bass playing experience.
Lyrics
The snow rarely falls here
But, amidst this current whiteout
I can see you
In the waterfall of snowflakes
The glowing snow's a sight to see
On this cloudy day, my eyes are still illuminated
*There are days when all I can think of is you
Sometimes, I wonder if you see me, too
In the never-ending snowfall
**The snow rarely falls here
But, amidst this current whiteout
I can see you
In the corner of my eyes
As I run through the cold
My tears turn into frozen ice
And I can see you
In the waterfall of snowflakes
I didn't even know your name
On that cloudy day
All I saw was your face
(repeat *)
(repeat ** except "snowflakes")
In my heart,
It is still winter for me
