Story behind the song
I really can't remember how and why I wrote this song. I think it was just one of those song ideas that I got while I was in the shower...
Oh, now I remember. I believe it was right after my mother just had her hysterectomy and I had realized how quickly time had flown. And yet, strangely, I didn't find myself regretting anything. It was quite unlike me to not regret anything, since I was the kind to always linger on something that happened weeks or months ago. To find myself wanting to keep moving forward was something I wasn't used to.
Why I put the bridge in there, I really don't know, because it REALLY doesn't fit... x.x;;; Oh well, I'll probably take it out during the actual recording.
Lyrics
They say life's like
A candle in the water
You never know when it flickers out
Another day wasted
Another moment gone
And, still I don't regret it
*Here is my heart, just take it
Here is my love, now it's yours
It's yours
Please, take my hand, just take it
Please, hold me in your arms tonight
Even if it's just tonight
It's just beginning
And in a flash, it's gone
A minute soon becomes one year
Another day wasted
Another moment gone
And, still I don't regret it
(repeat *)
Voices whispering
In my head
Yet, all I know
Is yours
(repeat * twice)
