Story behind the song
This is the first song I ever finished completely, written directly into music software over the course of about five days. The first part is a sort of mock Spanish march, which is obviously the Marche in reference. There is a sort of repeated motif for this section, but mostly I just wanted to go with a similar feeling between parts, rather than connect with a motif (if that makes any sense)...I make a small joke towards "Carol of the Bells" very briefly, see if you can find it =P The second part, Waltz, is a fast dance, mostly featuring the horn player. It's essentially at the same speed as the march was at. This one does not have a recurring motif exactly, but I went off of similar sounding ideas. The Finale is very short, just a joke "big finish", with it mostly being flourishes and triads, until it finally ends in a big dominant chord.
