Never too late to say (or hear) "I love you."
acoustic folk country lai
Lyricist on an endless quest for the perfect melody.
I'm afraid I can't claim to be a band, although I have been known to jump on a bandwagon from time to time. No, I'm just a humble lyricist who is in absolute awe of the composers who have stumbled into my life and bothered to wrap a melody around some of my words. I've been attempting to legitimately call myself a lyricist since I was about 14 years old. Have a listen, won't you, and let me know if I qualify.

Lyrics
The Things He Didn't Say © 2010 Heather Orwig, Greg C. Brown & Bob Pickens Uncle Joe turned on the tv, Mama cried as he pushed play. Seeing Daddya019s face again Took my breath away As she sat and held my hand, Mama smiled through her tears And when we heard Daddy speak We could not believe our ears Chorus: To Mom, He said I have loved you Since the day we met Livina019 life beside you Ia019ve never had one regret And son I sure am proud Of the man you are today Then he asked us to forgive him For the things, for the things he didn't say It filled that void inside me And helped to ease the hurt All my life Ia019ve hungered To hear him say those words Before the good Lord led him home Daddy showed us that he cared He found his own way to say his heart was always there Bridge In all my years I saw no tears In my daddya019s eyes But even a tough guy gets to cry As he says his last goodbyes Repeat Chorus
