It's Over
Bounce Acoustic Track | It's Over by The Healing Band | Stream Free
Song about a relationship that is over. Ukulele, vocals and drum demo.
I was a member of NSAI and went to Nashville several times for training camps. I was a fiction/non-fiction writer before I became a songwriter.
Sheila Dixon began writing songs approximately 12 years ago. She brought a poem to an Orlando “Nashville Songwriter’s Association International" meeting to start out. She met SusieCool (Susan Foster Trewick) there and they co-wrote “We Belong Together Through All Time". Over the years they co-wrote another 17 plus songs. Those are available on Soundclick as "The Healing Band". Besides writing with SusieCool, Sheila worked with another NSAI member Stephen Desjardins. They wrote “My First Love" which they had produced by the Beaird Group in Nashville.

G C
I feel the wind blowin’ round my head, I listen for what you haven’t said
G D7 G
The way you look at me makes me numb , What d’ya think, I’m dumb?
No more sittin’ by the fire
Now I think you’re just a liar
No more toastin’ the two of us
Your broken promises have turned to dust
C
C’mon I know it, It’s Over, It’s Over
G
Do you or did you ever care?
C
C’mon I know it, It’s Over, It’s Over
D7 G
My questions bounce back everywhere
C
I look at you
G
You look away
A D7
Your empty words make me say
Why can’t I trust you like I used to
Why must you treat me like a fool
The end of my world is on me
And from where I stand, it’s ugly
C’mon I know it, It’s Over, It’s Over
Do you or did you ever care?
C’mon I know it, It’s Over, It’s Over
My questions bounce into thin air
