“ FUSING PROGRESSIVE ROCK WITH A STRAIGHTFORWARD ROCK AND BLUES SOUND
From our very own backyard, in New Jersey, comes a man with the sound that many musicians have been searching for through the years. That man is known as “SPIKE IVORY.” For over twenty years, Spike Ivory has crafted his unique sound and style by drawing on such influences as John Waite, Danny Wilde, Tommy Tutone and John Hiatt just to name a few. Despite various personnel changes and layoffs through the years, the music still remains fresh. This can be seen through the live shows and in the eyes of the fans, whom have grown considerably over the years, and continue to remain loyal to Spike Ivory and his music. Spike Ivory is not only a gifted singer/songwriter, but he is a very rare talent with the passion to succeed in this tuff industry, we call the music business. www.spikeivory.com “STRAIGHT FORWARD ROCK-N-ROLL WITH OVERTONES OF ROCKABILLY, COUNTRY AND FOLK” THE ALTERNATIVE NEWS MAGAZINE JUNE 2003

Lyrics
STEAL THE NIGHT In the shadows on the edge of town Watching the rain come down I’m waiting for your call You talk about me to the people you know Oh, I can’t go home I don’t even know your name Should of called a few hours ago I’m running out of time Don’t leave me hanging on the line When the news comes over the air They’ll talk about us everywhere The time, you stole the night from me And no one could believe Oh don’t steal the night away From me, tonight don’t steal away the night Early morning it’s a brand new dawn Everybody’s almost gone Don’t leave me here alone Never thought I’d have a night like this Was it just hit or miss I thought I heard you call my name Or did I hear you say Oh don’t steal the night away From me, tonight don’t steal away the night
