Story behind the song
Several perspectives of the wonders of the Two Towers from the eyes of people that commuted to the World Trade Center and the Trains that had entrances within the World Trade Centers. For many years I have taken the NYC train and Path trains to and from the World Trade Center. Each day I would look to the sky at the World Trade Center in amazement. Today I still look at the site of where the two towers once stood, still in amazement.
Lyrics
TRAINS: Eight O’clock he’s standing at the train stop Coffee in hand and listening to his hip-hop   Gotta make a living, Gotta pay the bills Gotta buy the food, Gotta pay the rent Everyday he goes the same way Gets off at World Trade then heads up to Broadway At a quarter to nine he begins the day He earns his living the old fashioned way   All the time it blows away his mind The awesome sights of buildings from the Downtown city skyline     BRIDGE Those two towers That pierced through the sky Those two towers Amazed his eyes Everyday he’d stop To watch it come alive Scores of people from everywhere Would arrive A city in itself That overlooked the cities life.   CHORUS The Path train the N train the R train the 1 9 and 2 train The 3 train the A and the E train Everywhere there’s people Everyone in motion Everywhere there’s people Moving like an ocean The Path train the N train the R train the 1 9 and 2 train The 3 train the A and the E train   From bottom to top The traffic just doesn’t stop People just keep coming And they’re going up and down the block Gotta be on time, Gotta got to get to work Gotta ship the goods, Gotta close the sale   All the time they Take their place in line to see the Awesome sights of people from the Downtown city skyline
