acoustic/electric rock music
Hey everybody, Teig here. I'm the singer (i guess) and guitar player for Happenstance. We're recording our first full length CD soon, If you are a fan of indie rock or just good music in general, keep checking back because we'll be adding full band songs soon. Right now, we have available some songs of Mark Montaruli (piano) and I running thru some older stuff. The singing is a little off, but the songs were pretty much first run-throughs and half written. The new songs are equal parts roots-rock and spacey, Coldplay-ish stuff. The songs took a while to craft out and flesh to where they are now, so when you get the finished version, expect some really great stuff. It's not your average College band fare... it isn't a dave matthews sounding project at all, but we're aiming to make a great piece of art, so we hope you enjoy it when its done.

Story behind the song
This song is about facing down impossible odds, to make a stand against inevitability. The recording is pretty crappy (drum machine, the piano timing is off), and the lyrics were written on the spot, but expect a new performance of this song to surface very soon.
Lyrics
i see reflections of a ghost in my mirror right behind me, in the corner of my eye i've seen daybreak rain on everyone but not the day that you die well you can't see it coming it's miles away taking shape so children smile while we're wrapped in denial marching slowly towards our fate i feel strength whenever i'm in waiting and so fearless, i can walk on water somehow and its true - i believe i'm coming thru and its true - i believe in you well you can't see it coming it's miles away taking shape so children smile while we're wrapped in denial marching slowly towards our fate and i believe in miracles
