Story behind the song
Written for the Sunday Songwriters' Group week 35 prompt on the guitarnoise forums. Write a song around a sign or omen- OK, I doubled up, but I can't help it. The two signs I used are intertwined in my mind.
Lyrics
Your white feathers and your rainbows Mean as much as love to me Theya€™re some of the things in this whole wide world I truly love to see Your sky signs and your smile Are twined in my memory And if they ever left me I dona€™t know where Ia€™d be I know youa€™ll never leave me But I like to see your signs To let me know youa€™re still alright Somewhere down the line Your sky signs and your smile Are twined in my memory And if they ever left me I dona€™t know where Ia€™d be I never cease to be grateful For the signs you send to me, Even though youa€™re somewhere else Youa€™re ever close to me
