Story behind the song
I had this melody for a long time, but could never figure out what to really do with it. Finally I came up with the idea of coupling its somewhat mystic theme with the story of a Banshee. Found an old poem that I modified slightly to make it fit with the music.
Lyrics
Hush, hush the young maiden sighed, How oft has the Banshee cried? and how oft has death untied, Bright links that glory move, Sweet bonds entwined by love' through light and shadow of accusing whispers carried through the hollow wind. Say, who is this lovely fay, whose laments befall today, words of sorrow torment lay? Hast thou heard oh the Banshee in the morn, Passing by the silent lake, Or walking the fields by the orchard? Alas! that I do not rather behold White garlands in the hall of my fathers, of my fathers. The Banshee mournful wails In the midst of the silent, lonely, lonely night, Plaining, she sings the song of fright A great chamber that overhangs the wild Atlantic waves, in the old ruined castle of Dunluce, where it sits on its rock above the green sea water of Antrim coast, is said to be the home of the Banshee, of O'Donnells, where the winter nights fall through the old dark roofless ruin great storms rage down on me. Hast thou heard oh the Banshee in the morn, Passing by the silent lake, Or walking the fields by the orchard? Alas! that I do not rather behold White garlands in the hall of my fathers, of my fathers. Hush, hush, don't make a sound, don't make a sound.

The song features very unexpected moments. First the rather progressive synthline, a mere noisy fragment, rather than melodic in nature combined with a campfire-style guitar works really well. At 1:03 the next change. While I *really* like the smoky voice, i'm not entirely sold to the bassdrum. The Break Part at around 2:00 is really cool, I especially like the tremolos. Kick at 3:50 is much more nicer :), though both are pretty hard. Nice guitar solo, btw., also like the guitartone and the echo. Overall, great work! Regards, Sebastian
