"when one met two" began with a desire to try something new. After playing in bands for several years, I wanted to do a project with new musicians and a new perspective. While this does not mean an end to any of my other musical endeavors, I wanted to record something where, ultimately, I had to answer to no one but myself. After enlisting the assistance of long-time producer Ted Comerford, I began the process of finding both the right songs and the right musicians for the project. I wanted this cd to be a mixture of some of my older songs that we could now reinvent and some of the newer songs that I had written but had not yet seen the light of day (or darkness of a club). The older songs that were chosen were "swell" and "somebody told me"' - they joined new songs "answers" and "desert plain." Consider the last track something else altogether - a cool-down or musical palette cleanser. I was fortunate enough to have the generous support of Jarrett (bass), J.P. (drums), and "Max Power" (backing vocals) from Virginia Coalition, as well as Vivion from Juniper Lane. Without their help and talent, this whole thing would still be an inaudible idea. If you haven't already heard their bands - click the links and check them out - you'll be glad you did. This has been a long, arduous road - we started last September - but I am thrilled with the finished product and hope you will be as well. So, check out the songs, buy the disc, send me your comments, do whatever you like - have fun with it. Thanks for visiting and please do spread the word.

Lyrics
The desert plain Rises in the distance The moon aflame Its fire spills around us And I know we just left Vegas an hour ago Got a bag full of money under the seat Nothing in our sights but the open road Gaze over horizons Then turn And I know now That you and I We have never been as free as we both are now I'm feeling strange From somewhere deep inside me A bit deranged This body can't confine me And I swore we'd get to Phoenix an hour ago Then you saw a sign We were right on time But my mind was deep in flight above the road Then we gaze… The smell of rain The promise of forgiveness To lose our shame The water it must cleanse us And all of this does remind me of so long ago On a midnight drive Our souls alive A storm had threatened to wash us off the road Then we gaze…
