Story behind the song
You know that saying, "forgiven but not forgotten?" Well, I have no doubt, because of God's Word, that Christians are forgiven and that God has also FORGOTTEN! God has cast our sins as far as the east is from the west and His only Son paid the ultimate price to do that. But even though I KNOW this, sometimes past memories can still be yucky or painful. But I wouldn't want to forget them necessarily. I want to remember the WONDERS God has done in my life and where He has brought me from...all the miraculous changes He has made in me. If things didn't happen exactly the way they did in my life, I wouldn't be right here, right now, saved by Grace with an indescribable joy and peace that can only come from Him.
