I'm performing all vocal and instrumental parts on many of the songs. I have also been fortunate to collaborate with family and friends on several tunes. All so
The first several tunes on here are songs I've written and recorded at home since 2006, when I purchased a Yahama keyboard and Vintage G guitar. These are more in the pop/rock genre, with one, Might Be Me, a song I wrote as a teen in the 1970s, and recorded in 2007 with friend Chris Kitchen doing the guitar work in Ashland, KY. The other songs I've posted on here are what I like to call my original "Folkgrass" tunes. A couple were written back in 1989-90 when I was living in NW Missouri and later recorded with my niece Amy Watkins and friend James Moore in Nashville in 2000, the rest I wrote from 2002-06 here in Cincinnati. You'll hear friend Webster Struthers playing mandolin and singing harmonies on a few tunes we recorded long distance between Cincinnati and Selma, NC, and a few others where I play and sing alone or do my own harmonies. On here as well is Webster's bluegrass band, The Misty Mountain Boys, doing a cover of my original song, "Seven Lonely Years", recorded in 2002.
