Story behind the song
funky 80s synth & sax driven song I recorded/sang at Club Andiamo in Aspen Colorado with a couple of producer/musicians from Minneapolis, who had worked at Prince's Paisley Park studios...One of the guys played a mean saxophone...the rest we did with a drum machine and a synth and a guitar, the 3 of us, me on vocals, them helping on the "hey hey" chorus...Fun time--the excursion arranged by my would-be publisher at the time, convening there in Aspen...We recorded 3 songs total to demo to the then hot music scene back in Minneapolis. This was in the winter of 1988-89...or thereabouts....
