When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Story behind the song
when watching the documentary "Hippies" they try to tell you there are still vestiges of that counter-culture movement alive today....
Lyrics
What Went Wrong / Blachura The door to the last ten years slammed shut like the Cover to a book you hadn’t finished just yet and Time was movin’ on But it was over already over a long long time Before you noticed there was just nothin’ you could find To explain that feeling What had just happened was it just a lark Someone on the radio sang MacArthur Park But you can’t remember who You wanted to believe you weren’t on the bandwagon But everything was wrong and now your feet were draggin’ About the reason How does it feel to have thrown the towel in On a dream that once upon a time you thought that you believed in You sit in your car, sick to your stomach cause you’re really not livin’ Can you see it all goin’ down the drain as the thunderstorm reigns in Guess you’ll just have to think about what went wrong tomorrow You didn’t have to play the game anymore Cause no one really cared and there was really way more Happening right now The crook campaigned he took the bull by the horns Let ‘em all know he was turning the corner Around Ohio Now you didn’t want to play that deadly game When they were serious ‘bout taking your name away If you didn’t go along Even the priest gave in on a wing and a prayer There was nobody left to sing about the dare and The times and what was changing Everything was dryin’ up and going south And what you were doing gave you a dry feeling in your mouth Like the wrong end of a filter cigarette It wasn’t just the way you left it all behind To follow what you really were afraid to find The changing of the guard It was more about the way you couldn’t pull it off And having to watch them scoff for not having to pay Like you said they’d have to It was a shut down in the third degree When you wound up having to let them see you join the rank and file
