Story behind the song
This is a song about a man who stumbles across a Christian coffee shop and is confronted with the Risen Savior! When I wrote the song I had the Sacred Grounds Coffee Shop from Lafayette, IN in mind.

INTRO: Dsus2
VERSE 1:
Dsus2 G Dsus2
In a quaint Christian Coffee Shop just south of town
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
A man wanders in, gets a drink and sits down
Dsus2 G Dsus2
An old leather bound bible lies alone on the table
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
He thumbs through the pages to search the truth out
VERSE 2:
Dsus2 G Dsus2
A band makes its way to the stage and plugs in
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
Their acoustic guitars and the music begins
Dsus2 G Dsus2
The man, as he’s reading, can’t believe what he’s hearing
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
How Jesus would come pay the price for his sins
CHORUS:
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Dsus2
And the band plays a chorus of what Christ did for us
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Asus2
Pierced on a hilltop, His own life He gave
Bm sus2 Asus G Dsus2
With glory and power in 72 hours
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
Death lost its grip as He rose from the grave
VERSE 3:
Dsus2 G Dsus2
The man reads about the way Jesus had walked
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
How He healed and He served and He loved and He taught
Dsus2 G Dsus2
His hard heart is filled by the blood Jesus spilled
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
As he stops and he sees his life viewed from a cross
CHORUS:
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Dsus2
And the band plays a chorus of what Christ did for us
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Asus2
Pierced on a hilltop, His own life He gave
Bm sus2 Asus G Dsus2
With glory and power in 72 hours
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
Death lost its grip as He rose from the grave

VERSE 4:
Dsus2 G Dsus2
The evening is aging as the music winds down
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
In that quaint Christian coffee shop just south of town
Dsus2 G Dsus2
The tears begin falling as his heart begins calling
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
To the One who with honor is eternally crowned
CHORUS:
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Dsus2
And the band plays a chorus of what Christ did for us
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Asus2
Pierced on a hilltop, His own life He gave
Bm sus2 Asus G Dsus2
With glory and power in 72 hours
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
Death lost its grip as He rose from the grave
Bm sus2 Asus2 G Dsus2
Yeah, with glory and power in 72 hours
Dsus2 Asus2 Dsus2
Death lost its grip as He rose from the grave
