This was one of the first songs that Doug ever wrote. Written shortly after the sudden death of his grandparents, this song gives hope to all who know Christ that one day we will meet again.
Lyrics
(verse 1)
I've asked it time and time again
how God could take away a friend
that I loved so much it hurt to see them go
Then I hear a voice quietly rejoice
saying, "don't cry my friend, cause we'll meet again"
(chorus)
We'll meet again where no tear shall dim the eye
We'll meet again where there will be no clouds in the sky
Next time you're feeling lonely remember I'm in a better place
So wipe the tears from your face 'cause we'll meet again
(verse 2)
Through the good times and the bad
you gave up all you had for me
but I didn't see it then
But what I saw through all the years
through the laughter and the tears
made you a friend for me through thick and thin
