A conclusion to the warrior's saga begun in Eight Headed Fire Dragon. A better song in its own right.

This Soundclick page is used for posting rough mixes, outtakes and other projects un-related to my current band, Artists of War. I have played guitar since I was 14 years-old and have gone through a slew of influences. The most predominant has been Black Sabbath. My current fetish has been progressive metal ala Tool and Mastodon. Some might call this "art metal," and I would agree with that moniker as well. I consider what I do to be more akin to art than performance music. During my third year of college, I decided to officially release my work as a physical CD. "Artists of War" was the result of this. The album was released on March 25 via Tricalibur Records through CDBaby. You can visit my website, , for the most recent band news. The CD is available from , direct from me via the band website, or search for it in iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers.

Story behind the song
Unhappy with the combination of 8HFD and Warbird, I rewrote 8HFD and wrote this songa s an independent conclusion. In its own right, it is a better song (I believe).
Lyrics
“Thor! No fire could burn my armor. No tooth tear my hide. Eight heads of terror in hell could not stop my blessed axe from splitting your guardian’s emerald heart.” I laid claim to countries over the heads of your armies. They fell plagued and black to my fist. Give me now thy throne of gold in Valhalla ascent on Chariots of fire for all to see. “I won’t rest until I’ve found my home. All you’re power can’t keep me from it.” He descended the Earth and began the perilous march to oblivion I stayed alive Until it fell Above the crag in the dead man’s well I scarred my face because I couldn't stand to see it all No more remorse for you Inside these closing walls War inside of these prison gates Learn in time of all the things we hate I will learn We will not Fall into Oblivion Look into the eye of maker’s heart Teach to you the way of warriors art In our time We’ve made mistakes Were turned around We’ve lost the faith Paid the price Played with fate No ones left Oblivion On my quest Mountain bound Powers honed Oblivion On my quest into the frozen waste There is no one who can see the sun No one who can slow this arctic pace All is lost inside Oblivion
