Lyrics
Old Santa's Sleigh (I Want to Believe) ©2006 Tim Wheeler Wake up Sleepy-Head Heard a noise upon the roof I'm thinking that it might be Santa Claus Was it the sound of his sled Or the clip of a reindeer's hoof I don't know what else could be the cause Then I woke up from my dream And I realized the truth but I recognized the feeling I had not felt since my youth. I want to believe in that Jolly Old Man I want to believe. I don't want to understand. I want to wake up and feel the way I felt that day The time I thought I saw Old Santa's Sleigh I was just a pup We were riding in the car Heading home from Church that Christmas Eve When my daddy cried, “Look Up!” “Underneath that shining star!” I saw something you would not believe My heart leapt in my chest I swear I saw St. Nick I even caught a flash of Rudolph's nose. I want to believe in that Jolly Old Man I want to believe. I don't want to understand. I want to wake up and feel the way I felt that day The Time I thought I saw Ol' Santa's Sleigh There's so much that I have reasoned away But I cannot forget the way I felt that day. I want to believe in that jolly old man I want to believe. I don't have to understand. I want to wake up and feel the way I felt that day The Time I thought I saw Ol' Santa's Sleigh I want to wake up and feel the way I felt that day The Time I got to see Ol' Santa's Sleigh
