this is a song that focuses on the undescribable hope that comes in the middle of the night, and the love of friends that suffer. it's about suicide, but more importantly about hope.

it's so quiet and so serene. and in this darkened moment, Hope cannot be denied. she'll grab onto you, and you can't get away. you'd make sure that you feel like dying, you'd make sure that you weren't awake when she came. even when the sky is clouded our hearts are stirred as we move on. and even when our faces hide it, we find it's worth living for. you're so willing to throw it all away. i could never understand how that solved anything. i never said i knew what tomorrow would bring, but we're still holding on. maybe you'll just go to sleep for a while, or maybe you'll answer to something bigger, than you, or me, or our troubles. i promise you, Child, the worst of days is better than nothing!
