Story behind the song
wrote it during a power failure in the middle of the night. strummed a few chords on the acoustic guitar in pitch black darkness. came up with some chorus lyrics and chord progression for the whole song an hour and a half later. forgot about it for a couple of months until i heard a radio announcement for a song writing contest on my way to work. arranged, sequenced, and recorded the instrumentation when i got home. asked around the office for someone to interpret/sing it. ended up being performed by my former vocalist, an officemate, and a supervisor.
