Band/artist history
i started out playing classical piano at age 10. i later played trumpet and drums in high school. i started playing bass during college at university of michigan and i ended up majoring in jazz bass performance at the music school. i played keys for the univ. of mich. gospel choir, which is where i started doing production. i played bass in the bands father time and funktelligence. i also played bass in the house band at a club in tokyo, japan.
Your musical influences
my production influences are j dilla, pete rock, dj premier, kanye west, just blaze. some of my musical influences are james jamerson, herbie hancock, marcus miller, donny hathaway, the roots, d'angelo, and mccoy tyner.
What equipment do you use?
dell laptop with cubase, acid, and cool edit, tascam us-122 audio/midi interface, numark turntables and mixer, cirrus 5 string bass, and midi keyboard controller.
