I'm sadly enough just a one man band right now for lack of time, space, & local resources where I live. That's not to say that the players aren't here rather not readily available. I've spent the better part of my life on tour with some very super players & very famous players. I don't live based on my history as a part of a World Famous Rock-n-Roll Band nor do I want my reputation to be,,,, "Oh, he was the Keyboard, Harmonica, & Saxaphone player for,,,," What you hear is just a humbled man that's grateful to be able to say, "I didn't wake up dead today"!!! nuk, nuk, nuk!!!!!Band/artist history
Just have to say I've been honored to play with some of the best in, "Motown", as well as Rock-n-Roll, & Blues. I've been fortunate to have graced the media in, Television, & Radio for many years.... I can remember sessions in Detroit when it was not unusual to have a half dozen very famous players drop in to say hey or who knows!?!?!?!?Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm not playing live now but I do make alot of, "Guest Appearances" on stage locally where I live.. I love to play live & as I said, I've got,,,, "A Quarter Century" I can't believe I can say this!!!) under my touring boots!!!
Your musical influences
Every band from the, "Eagles" to the, "Doobies", "Michael McDonald", "Steely Dan", etc. The list goes on & on!!!! The 1st & most important infulence was the ,"Beatles", "Leon Russell", "Stevie Wonder", "Edgar Winter". I learned to play music by figuring out, "Let it be", "Lady Madonna", oh & one song that everyone almost played, "Feelin Alright"!What equipment do you use?
I have 11 Keyboards, 4 Guitars, Saxaphones, a million Harmonicas, Drums, & every type of percussion known. I use Sonar 3/Producer, Logic Platinum 6, all tied into my Roland VS-2480CD. Then my Rode/Neumann/Avalon/Shure/Motu/TC/V-1+++Anything else?
I have to quote my late brother, "SCOTT BRIAN CARLSON" who said, "HE WHO SHALL HE, SO SHALL HE WHO"!!! I'd also like to say, should the music I've been writing do well, my soulmate & forever woman, my wife, "Mary Beth" have a lot to give back to the world & Lord willing we will have the opportunity to do some very wonderful things. One in particular that we'd like to do is establish a year round center packed with diverse activities for children through high school that will give them, strength, focus, exercise, as well as teach them some of the wealth of life's learning experiences that we've lived. If we can keep even one soul on the right track to college,,,,,,,It will be a great Success! Something important that we all need to do, PRACTICE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS!!! Open the door for someone, say Please & Thank You, Take time to help someone, but number #1****BE GRATEFUL & HUMBLE...... Musicians are just gifted Humans!!! Not better!
