The Music of Raul Abella
Listen and find out the auditory sensation of pure digital sound. Effects that made the sound so real as you felt you were hearing the sound of a real band or orchestra. With the unique melodies and graceful arrangements were exquisite.
All instrumental music were composed, played, arranged, MIDI programmed and recorded by Raul Abella. All the sounds except the guitars were MIDI stands for Musical Instruments Digital Interface which introduced by Roland Corp. since 1980's.
This Filipino composer mixes the agile rhythms and beachy vibe of his native islands with more orthodox Latin jazz and the crossover stylings of Santana and Jeff Beck. Abella's likeable pieces read like a retracing of the departure points that set fusion's course. from Editor's Review of Download.com Music 2005 All Rights Reserved.

Band/artist history
Born on 3rd of Nov. in 1953 and I started playing guitar since I was 8 yrs. old, it was only for fun, 'til 1969 when my father died of bowel cancer and I was only 16 yrs. old then, later I joined in the band, 'til it became a job, Just fortunate I was at the right time when music was so popular and I was doing what I love to do in life. 1969-2003 worked as a musician was sometime's extremely good and sometime's extremely bad, like a roller coaster ride going up & down compared to a stable job but I'm happy because I love music very much since my childhood. Some people think I'm a music freak. Now I'm a music arranger, composer, MIDI programmer and my love of guitar playing. Music is my life.............
These were my experiences;
I've been taught in music whilst working under the baton of late Dencio Lazo & his orchestra performing in the nightclub (basement of Magellan International Hotel). He was my teacher, a band leader, bassist, all saxes, kbd & arranger. After his guidance & helpful techniques,
I've played and worked on guitar, bass, drums, percussions & keyboards with cover bands and we played music of Carlos Santana, Malo, Santa Esmeralda, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Ides of March, Tower Of Power, Earth, Wind and Fire & etc..
1975 became a member in one of the bands of the best trumpeter Kiko Gatchalian.
When I became a qualified lead guitarist in 1984 I've played and worked the guitar licks of Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Mark Knofler, Van Halen, George Benson, Richie Blackmore, Jimmy Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd & etc. in Beefy's Cabin, Hong Kong 84-89.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Since 1969 to 2003 I worked or played live with big bands, four piece bands, duo & solo.
